Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari says that his country has "technically won the war against the organization Boko Haram."
During an interview with BBC, President Buhari explained that the group's fighters are no longer able to carry out "conventional attacks" against security forces or population centers.
"So I think technically we have won the war because people are going back into their neighborhoods. Boko Haram as an organized fighting force, I assure you, that we have dealt with them," he concluded.
