French police thwarted an attack against police and military forces in the city of Orleans, French Minister of Interior Bernard Cazeneuve said on Tuesday.
Two French citizens in their twenties were arrested and taken for questioning. The suspects were thought to have made contact with a French national with links to Syria, reportedly the mastermind behind their scheme.
