Opposition head Yitzhak Herzog (Zionist Union) has strongly criticized comments made by the Hadash party.
"It seems that there are those for whom Samir Kuntar was not a vile murderer, and his death was a 'despicable Israeli crime.' This is what was written in Arabic on the Hadash party's Facebook page, with a rude, inciting, and violent image," wrote MK Herzog on his own Facebook page.
Herzog added that "Samir al-Kuntar, who was killed a few days ago, was a vile murderer and terrorist who continued to preach the murder of Israelis and refused to regret brutally murdering the children of the Haran and Avihem families... If someone from Hadash thinks otherwise, they are making a serious mistake."
