Education Minister Naftali Bennett said at the start of the Jewish Home faction meeting that “I want to begin with an important announcement. For the first time in the history of the State of Israel, we are establishing a general academic college in an Arab village. This is a historical event for the Arab sector and is historical for the State of Israel.”
Bennett added that “Since I began to bar the entry of ‘Silence breakers’ into schools, I have heard criticism and pressure has been placed from many directions to change the decision. I will say this clearly: the decision remains the same.”
