The Histadrut's (Israel's largest labor union) negotiating team and members of the Ministry of Finance met today (Sunday) in order to discuss a wage agreement, but the two sides ended at an impasse.
Afterwards, Histadrut head Avi Nissenkoren instructed his field teams to go on strike in all public sectors, starting tomorrow at 12:00 pm. The workers will instead demonstrate in front of the Ministry of Finance.
"For its sake, the Histadrut will act and find all the ways possible to bring about a solution and understand before going on strike," said Nissenkoren.
