The chair of the US Senate Intelligence Committee says that he is investigating whether Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz revealed classified information during last night's (Tuesday) debate.

While talking with Marco Rubio, Cruz claimed that "nearly 100 percent" of phone numbers can be checked for terror ties under the USA Freedom Act, as opposed to "20 percent to 30 percent" under the Patriot Act.

Rubio responded by saying that Cruz should not discuss classified information on national television.
