US Vice President Joe Biden has called on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to continue working with the Iraqi government.
His request came after Turkey withdrew its forces from the refugee camp in Bashiqa, in northern Iraq.
"This is an important step to de-escalate recent tensions," said Biden.
