The Knesset on Monday evening approved the first reading of a bill which seeks to enshrine the powers of the court guards, their main duties, and the appointment of a person who will be in charge of the court guards.
The bill suggests that the guards be given powers of search, seizure, detain and arrest, and other activities that come with the job.
