Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud) told Knesset on Monday he was "saddened by the Police Investigations Department's (PID) decision to investigate the police sapper who thwarted the Jerusalem terror attack perpetrated by two teenage girls, known in the media as the 'scissor terror attack.'"
"I respect the PID's authority, but I hope [the investigation] will end soon and the case will be closed because we have to defend our security forces, who save lives with their bodies time after time."
