Exit polls show that France's far-right National Front (FN) has not won a single regional election. Should this be reflected in the final votes, it will be the third-largest party in the government.
This result goes against the recent poll which found a strong upsurge in the party's popularity, following the ISIS attack in Paris. The survey predicted FN winning six of the 13 regions.
The exit poll is showing Nicolas Sarkozy's Republican party in the lead, followed by the incumbent Socialists.
