Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's dog, Kaia, was quarantined after biting MK Sharren Haskel and the husband of Deputy Minister Tzipi Hotovely at a Hanukkah party earlier this week , the Prime Minister wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.

"Last night we lit Hanukkah candles with the entire family in attendance, before we sadly had to send Kaia to be quarantined, as required by law," Netanyahu wrote. "As a result of this incident, I was exposed to the issue of quarantined dogs and found defects that are incompatible with reason and compassion. I will ask experts in the ministries of health and agriculture as well as animal protection organizations to formulate proposals for change and improvement in the existing law."
