The community of Avnei Hefetz has released an official response to the nearby shooting attack that took place tonight (Wednesday).
"We are going through a difficult incident in the midst of Hanukkah. Terrorists left Tulkarem through the junction that was opened to Palestinian traffic and attacked the parents of a resident in our community's."
It continued: "The Orot Junction was opened about a year ago and since then, despite warnings from the community and the IDF about the danger, it has not been closed. The community's office demands the fulfillment of our security request that was presented to the security apparatus in order to defend the community and its access road. The junction should be closed immediately."
