The German foreign intelligence agency (BND) is eying Saudi Arabia's Defense Minister with concern, Associated Press reports.

According to the BND, Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also the second in line to be king, is aiming to make Saudi Arabia the head of the Arab world. This can be seen in Riyadh's actions in Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, and Bahrain, all of which show that "Saudi Arabia is prepared to take unprecedented military, financial and political risks to avoid falling behind in regional politics."
