The Knesset plenum approved a preliminary vote on the proposed ‘Parental Rights Bill’ initiated by MK Rachel Azariya and a group of MKs.
The proposed bill suggests that the term “maternity leave” be amended to “birth and parenting period” and that new father can alternate with his spouse taking “parents’ hour,” also known as “nursing hour,” so long as she gives her approval.
