Former Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad is expected to make a rare visit on Wednesday to the Gaza Strip, in order to take part in a conference headed by Hamas leader Ahmad Yusuf.
Fayyad had a tense relationship with Hamas during his candidacy as Prime Minister of the PA.
