The US Department of Health and Welfare says that the country's refugee reception services are in danger in states whose governors are trying to keep out Syrian asylum seekers.
Since the ISIS attack in Paris, 30 US governors have stated that they will not allow Syrian refuges to enter their states. In response, the White House warned the governors that doing so could cause them to lose their federal financial support for all immigrant absorption programs.
