At least 30 people were killed in clashes between rebels and soldiers in eastern Congo, local reports said Monday. Those dead include civilians and a United Nations peacekeeper.
Rebels from Allied Defense Forces attacked government forces in Eringeti in North Kivu province on Sunday. The UN said its nearby base was also targeted in the attack.
