Russian SU-34 bomber planes flew in Syria carrying air-to-air missiles for self-defense for the first time on Monday, a Russian official said, days after a Turkey shot down a Russian jet.
Igor Klimov said the missiles could hit targets at a distance of up to 60 kilometers (37.28 miles).
