Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu says that his country and the European Union are paying the price for the United Nation's failure to deal with the Syrian refugee crisis.
Last night (Sunday) Turkey and the EU reached an agreement by which Turkey would stop the flow of refugees landing on its shores in exchange for money and advancing its integration into the EU.
Following the agreement, German Chancellor Angela Merkel approved a plan to transfer €3 million ($3.2 million US) to Turkey, to be used for handling refugees.
