Deputy Minister of Education Meir Porush was attacked on Wednesday evening as he left a wedding event held in Bnei Brak.
The attackers, a group of young people affiliated with the Jerusalem branch of the Lithuanian haredi public which is strongly opposed to haredi enlistment in the IDF, are suspected to have carried out the act in light of Porush’s support for the amendment to the draft law in the Knesset this week.
