Rabbi Pinto is currently in surgery at Barzilay Hospital in Ashkelon, in order to have a growth removed from his liver.
The “Shuva Yisrael” community declared a day of special prayer on Wednesday in honor of the rabbi and in hopes that he will fully recover.
