US Secretary of State John Kerry told Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Tuesday during their meeting that the US will not agree to recognize Israeli construction in Judea and Samaria in exchange for Israeli gestures towards the Palestinian Authority.
Deputy Spokesperson for the US State Department Mark Toner told the press that America never defended or supported the “settlements” and has never adopted any policies legitimizing the regions.
