The Yesha Council responded to reports that Israel is considering transferring lands in Area C to the Palestinian Authority, saying, “Instead of punishing the Palestinian Authority for encouraging terrorism, the Prime Minister returns to the policy of concessions. The transfer of territory controlled by Israel to the Palestinian Authority, as was done in the Oslo Accords and the Disengagement, is a reward to terrorism."
"These days," added the Council, "in which serious attacks are taking place, the focus should be on a determined fight against the terrorists and those who send them, not on making concessions that will increase the motivation of the terrorists to attack Israelis. The policy of the Prime Minister should be the opposite - no more withdrawals and surrendering to terrorism, but applying Israeli sovereignty to Judea and Samaria.”
