Deputy Police Commissioner Shlomi Michael, the commander of the Judea and Samaria district, has expressed his intention to resign from the police.
"I have made a personal decision at the end of 33 years of meaningful and challenging service in a number of roles," said Michael. "I cherish the honor that I have had to influence the lives of Israeli citizens and to assist in their security, and I thank all who have helped me along the way. I wish the best to this important organization and I am certain that the new commissioner will lead the organization to security and success."
