Yesh Atid, along with the Israeli Student Union, has submitted an appeal to the Supreme Court over the Equal Service Law.
The appeal states that the amendments made to the bill were made because of "narrow political calculations, in explicit contrast to the precedent set by this court, to trample and harm equal rights."
Yesh Atid head Yair Lapid says that "The Israeli government has betrayed IDF soldiers and reservists tonight by canceling the Equal Service Law. Their own Defense Minister and Prime Minister told IDF soldiers that politics is stronger than uniting the Jewish People and that there is no equality among our children."
