Five suicide bombers killed at least 12 others in Nigeria and Cameroon over the weekend. All five attackers were young girls, a common tactic used by Boko Haram.
One girl attacked a military checkpoint near the northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri, killing seven people exiting a bus. This was the first suicide bombing Maiduguri, the birthplace of Boko Haram, has seen in almost a month.
The other four bombers were in Cameroon and together killed a family of five.
