A Turkish Airlines jet that had been diverted to Canada due to a bomb threat has finally taken off for Istanbul.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) say that they received a bomb threat at 10:50 pm local time last night (Saturday). The flight had already taken off from New York's JFK Airport when the threat was received and was diverted to Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The RCMP examined all passengers and their luggage and was unable to find any explosives.
