Avi Naim, the head of the Beit Aryeh Council and of the Defense Committee for Local Government, has called for fighting Arab terror with more force until quiet is restored.

"It seems that the security apparatus still has not internalized the situation in which we find ourselves, or the wave of terror that has not faded," said Naim. "The State of Israel is still in a situation of passive response."

Instead, he suggested that "The Defense Minister and the Chief of Staff must switch to a fighting 'mode.' They should institute a wide-spread call up of reserve forces, close the areas producing the terror (such as around Hevron), close central roads like Route 60 and the area around Gush Etzion Junction to Palestinian traffic."
