Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon (Likud) has commented on the ongoing wave of terror and explained that the attacks are carried out by lone terrorists, which means that it will take longer to defeat.
"We cannot break, this wave will also pass," said Ya'alon during a radio interview. "I am certain that we will defeat this wave of terror, just as we defeated a worse wave of suicide attacks more than a decade ago."
He continued: "We all must recognize that we are still fighting our War of Independence because of the fact that there are elements in the region, particularly the Palestinians, who are not ready to recognize our right to have a national state for the Jewish people. The security apparatus is using all means at its disposal to fight the wave of terror, but this sort of threat will take time to defeat."
