Ynet reports that an Israeli citizen was arrested two weeks ago in the country of Georgia for trying to enter with banned medicine.

The Israeli man, who is in his 60s, obtained the medicine legally and brought a copy of his prescription, but Georgian authorities consider it a narcotic and strictly ban it. The name of the medicine has not be released.

The Israeli embassy has been working to free its citizen, though without much success as of this time. The Foreign Ministry has since added a warning to its website, stating: "Given the strict prohibition under Georgian law against bringing medicines of the kind listed into the country, we recommend not taking any of the drugs stated. In the event that you do enter with these medicines, it is recommended to travel having verified in advance the restrictions discussed."
