United Hatzalah paramedics in Bnei Brak received an emergency call tonight (Wednesday) about a toddler choking on pieces of paper. The volunteers were able to reach the child in time to save his life.
Ariel Peretz, the first paramedic to reach the site, said: "When we arrived at the location the child was semi-conscious after choking on toilet paper during a game. Together with additional volunteers from United Hatzalah's motorcycle unit, we provided him first aid and, miraculously, he threw up the pieces of paper that he had swallowed and returned to full consciousness. Afterwards he was checked at a hospital and found to be in good condition.
