A 42-year-old woman died two weeks ago at Ashkelon’s Barzilay Hospital after giving birth to a healthy baby via caesarean section at 33 weeks.
The new mother was rushed into emergency surgery after collapsing during a routine pregnancy checkup. Her condition continued to deteriorate even after the healthy baby was delivered, and she died at the hospital’s intensive care unit.
