Opposition head Yitzhak Herzog (Zionist Union) held a press conference at Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda market, where he spoke about the budget.
"Today I tell the Israeli government: Invest in small business instead of the government. Invest in day homes instead of the government. Invest in developing industry instead of the government. Invest in unemployment benefits for the self-employed instead of the government. Invest in tax benefits for the Negev and the Galilee instead of the government," said MK Herzog.
He continued: "This budget is a budget of the Netanyahu government's final surrender to pressure groups, to the extreme right, to isolated settlements. We are not willing to abandon the small business owners, the young families, the released soldiers. I believe and will do all I can to ensure that this is the first and the last budget of this government."
