The Supreme Court says that it has accepted a plan worked out between the government and the congregation of Ayelet Hashahar synagogue, and that it is freezing the process of destroying the synagogue.
According to the proposal, the government will confirm that the synagogue is empty of people, Torah scrolls, holy books, and all materials by 3:00 pm on Thursday. It will then ensure that no one enters while the building is destroyed.
