Two Jewish members of the US Congress, Eliot Engel (D-NY) and Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) have appealed to the Attorney General, asking that she permit Jonathan Pollard to travel to Israel in order to be united with his family.
Pollard is expected to be released from prison on Friday, though the terms of his release would forbid him from leaving the US for several years.
