Yisrael Beytenu head Avigdor Liberman has strongly criticized the coalition party heads' pledge to give final approval for the amended IDF draft law. The pledge was drafted by Health Minister Yaakov Litzman (UTJ) and would loosen the punishments for haredim who do not join the IDF.
"A letter of surrender and disgrace," wrote MK Liberman on his Facebook page. "Netanyahu, Kahlon, Bennett, and Deri have pledged to absolve the haredim from enlisting and to harm the youth who serve in the IDF and are prepared to die for the sake of the State of Israel. It's time for all youths who turn 18, secular or haredi, Jewish or Arab, to do military or national service and to give back to the State of Israel."
