A US B-52 bomber recently flew over the South China Sea, according to the Pentagon.
The sortie took place only weeks after a US Navy destroyer entered the area that China considers its own territorial waters. China expressed anger over the alleged intrusion and summoned the US ambassador to Beijing for a reprimand.
