After coming under fire for calling supporters of the Ayelet HaShachar synagogue in Givat Ze'ev "thugs" and "extremists," a source close to the Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon rushed to explain his comments.
"The defense minister made a distinction between the synagogue's worshippers...and those who take advantage of the good faith of the congregation, by manipulating them and operating illegally," the official said.
