Lufthansa has announced that it must cancel 290 flights that are scheduled for today (Friday) due to a strike by cabin staff.
The strike will last for nine hour and affect about 37,500 passengers, AFP reports.
"Around 10 percent of all flights will have to be canceled. Of a total 3,000 connections scheduled for today, 290 flights will be canceled, including 23 inter-continental services," said an official statement from the airline.
