Christie has withdrawn his appearance due to his low polling numbers.
The eight leading candidates will still gather for the debate, including Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Ted Cruz, former Governor Jeb Bush, former HP CEO Carly Fiorina, Governor John Kasich, and Senator Rand Paul.
