Jerusalem prosecutors charged a 21-year-old Arab from Jerusalem’s Jabel Mukhaber neighborhood with attempted murder and possession of a knife.
The charges indicate that the terrorist took a knife from his kitchen in Jabel Mukhaber and hid it in his sleeve, in order to use it in a murderous attack in the nearby Jewish neighborhood of Nof Zion. The terrorist’s behavior aroused suspicion and border policemen arrived on site. The terrorist attempted to stab an officer, but was prevented from doing so by the other forces on site.
The prosecution seeks to have the suspect remain behind bars for the duration of legal proceedings against him.
