Interior Minister Silvan Shalom (Likud) says that he will present a bill to the Knesset calling to allow Chinese tourists coming to Israel and Israeli tourists going to China to receive visas that are valid for up to ten years. He will submit the bill on Sunday.
Shalom, who returned from China a few days ago, says that, "The decision will bring wide-spread effects that will allow tourists from China to come to Israel and vice versa, and will benefit the relations between Israel and China."
