Yesterday (Tuesday), the independent conversion program "Giyor Kehalacha" gave its approval to nine new converts to Judaism. The conversion court was overseen by Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, the head rabbi of Efrat.
Four of the converts were children, while the rest were adults. Nearly all came from the former Soviet Union.
The Giyor Kehalacha program, which began about three months ago, has already converted dozens of people.
