Iran’s Supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, explained that “Death to America” calls sounded by the masses in his country are not directed towards the American nation, but rather to the country’s policies.
During a meeting with Iranian students, Khamenei said that “The goal of the calls is not to lead to death of the American public. The slogan is directed at the arrogant American policies.”
