Histadrut labor federation Chairman Avi Nissenkorn responded on Wednesday to the crisis within the “Mega” grocery chain.
“We at the Histadrut support mega and fully believe in its recovery program launched in recent months. One must remember that the importance to the market of a chain like Mega is great in such complex times.”
“I call to all suppliers… to be sensitive and act responsibly towards the 5,000 families about to join the circle of unemployment, as well as to Israeli consumers.”
