The Foreign Ministry’s workers union established that it has the authority to shut down the Ministry and stop its activity in Israel, as well as in 106 consulates and embassies throughout the world. This authority includes the ability to call a general strike and take steps needed to take back the salaries of Israel’s international representatives and present a new model for compensating the international representatives, as was signed upon over 18 months ago in work deals.
“We’ve had enough. We cannot be silent anymore, in the face of the Finance Ministry’s abuse,” the Chairman of the Foreign Ministry’s workers union said.
