MK Moti Yogev (Jewish Home) explained on Tuesday why he voted against the proposed 2016 defense budget in its current format.
“Without the promised addition to the budget, it would have been irresponsible for me to approve this budget. Threats against Israel have changed and continue to change before our eyes each day. This reality requires more intelligence, and increased preparedness to cope with the different threats. If the IDF is not able to prepare itself to defend our existence, blows to the front lines could cost far more than the needed addition to the budget,” Yogev claimed.
