A court in India has sentenced an Uber driver to life in prison for raping his passenger. The defendant was found guilty of rape, abduction, intimidation, and causing harm.
The incident occurred on December 5, after which Delhi banned the ride sharing service from the city. It has recently resumed functioning in New Delhi.
