Following a meeting of mayors in the western Galilee Monday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu decide to postpone the approval of a plan to cut tax benefits to periphery residents until after the budget debate.
The move comes amid widespread protests in northern Israel over the decision to cut tax benefits.
