Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel (Jewish Home) spoke with Arutz Sheva Monday over the outrage of his initiative to stop spaying and neutering cats and instead transfer them to a foreign country.
"We are commanded to prevent animal cruelty in meaningful way. No minister deals with this matter as I do in every way and every field. Whoever proposed to neuter cats or dogs doesn't understand animal cruelty...which is why we will do research and development to reduce the number [of cats in Israel] but not by neutering or spaying them.
